At last year’s Christmas function, we had some suggestions that we should have a lunch for members who would prefer a daytime event and/or a cheaper event. So, this year we are having a Christmas in July lunch for those who did not attend the December event.
Enjoy a sit-down Christmas buffer plus a glass of bubbly. Be entertained with Christmas carols by music duo Out of Nowhere. All for just $15.
There will be a small raffle at the event and the proceeds will go to C.A.V.E. (Community and Volunteers of Eltham).

This musical, by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapin, re-tells the classic Brothers Grimm fables. It centres on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack (and his beanstalk), who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.

This presentation by Back in Motion Eltham will focus on falls’ risks, prevention, their management and how to keep ourselves safe.
Falls are Australia’s leading cause of injury hospitalisation and death. Falls requiring hospitalisation occur more frequently in adults with increasing age, and are most likely to occur in the home.
In 2019, Fiona Malcolm headed off on a cruise to the Baltic states. Her planning did not involve Lonely Planet or Eyewitness guidebooks but rather crime novels set in all of the ports that she was planning to visit. Go along and discover what she read and how she did it.

They encounter many talking animals and mythical creatures, including Mr. Tumnus, the beavers, the lion Aslan and the White Witch.
Adapted from the book by C.S. Lewis, the play explores the themes of family, temptation, betrayal, forgiveness, courage and good versus evil.
