The Nillumbik Reconciliation Group and Banyule Reconciliation Group are jointly facilitating a Treaty Event with First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria. The format for the event will be a Q&A session, with panel participants and moderation provided by first nations people.
A two-day event on 14th and 15th September, both 10am-3pm.
This will be a major native plant fair with native and indigenous plants for sale from many different stalls. There will also be sales of books on related subjects, giftware, activities for children and refreshmentsa.
The plant sellers are likely to include Goldfields Revegetation Nursery, Ian Evans Creative Landscapes, Ironstone Park Nursery, Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary Nursery, Vaughan’s Australian Plants and Yarra Yarra Growers (includes 5+ member growers). Crowsfoot Pottery will also attend and there will be a display by Nillumbik and Banyule Gardens for Wildlife.
Organised by Australian Plants Society – Yarra Yarra.
The activities will include carnival rides, craft stalls, food stalls, sporting clubs, CFA Tug-O-War, novelty races, a light parade, live music, demonstrations, displays and presentations.
The fair also provides opportunity for community groups, such as schools, churches, sporting clubs to fund raise and to promote their activities.
