The event will include speeches by an Elder, Welcome to Country and a performance by Ganga Giri Aboriginal performers.
Learn how to throw on the potter’s wheel. You will also be given a quick tour of the clay studio in order to gain a basic understanding of the process for making pottery. You will then learn how to prepare your clay, centre it on the wheel and the basic steps for making a cylinder and bowls. Studio pottery tools will be available for use and clay will be provided. A basic set of tools will also be available for purchase if you wish.
