Grief, loss and dementia

This session will be focused on the carer. It will provide an overview of the grief, loss and emotional impact of the changes caused by dementia. It will provide information about the kinds of change and loss experienced with dementia, the ways people may experience and express their grief, and emotional coping strategies for family carers of someone living with dementia.

You will gain knowledge in: your own responses to grief and loss; tools to help with support; networking; and stress managment strategies you can put in place to support your wellbeing.
