The event will include: a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony by a Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung elder; the raising of the flag representing unity and a commitment to reconciliation; and a didgeridoo performance, a symbol of Indigenous Australian culture and heritage.
Tom May, from the Royal Botanic Gardens, will help you to identify our native and introduced fungi and what fungi may be special to Nillumbik.

This event is to raise awareness around elder abuse, while creating connections with others. Enjoy a two course lunch accompanied by a guest speaker from Seniors Rights Victoria and music by Hana Zreikat.
The workshop will cover: understanding mental health and wellbeing; noticing declining mental health – in colleagues, family, friends and yourself; tips on providing support; and tools to bolster wellbeing and buffer against challenges.
