Is this the first U3A class you’ve tutored?

I have been teaching Spanish for beginners at Hawthorn U3A for several years. Advanced Spanish is my first class at Nillumbik U3A and I plan to continue so as long as I can teach on Zoom.

Other U3A classes attended?

None.

Nillumbik resident?

I have been a resident of Hurstbridge since April 2021.

What your students will learn?

My objective in class is to give the students the opportunity to practice their Spanish knowledge.

Class structure?

I divide the class time so that everyone has the chance to talk. The students are free to present material that they have prepared beforehand, or to improvise if they feel like it. Discussions then take place.

Why did you volunteer to run this class?

I taught at a university and I liked interacting with the students. When I came to Australia 8 years ago, after retirement, I thought I could teach something that it is easy for me, and that was my maternal language.
