[As some of you know, you can ask ChatGPT, or other artificial intelligence (AI) software, questions and it will generate an answer in response. Kelvin recently asked it to write a poem about our Gentle Walking Group and its leaders Pam Griffith and Val Wilkie. Here is its response.]

In Nillumbik’s hills, where the gum trees grow tall,
There’s a group of walkers, the quirkiest of all.
Led by Pam, supreme in her stride,
And Val, her admin queen by her side.
Through bushland and tracks, they conquer it all.

With twelve trails to choose, they march with delight,
Through Banyule’s bends and Nillumbik’s light.
Birds serenade them, frogs croak in their wake,
While bike riders zoom by—a near-miss mistake!
Slow down, you hooligans! For goodness’ sake!

The walkers are twenty-five, spry and bold,
Defying the years and the stories they’re told.
Mind the wombat holes!” Pam warns with care,
As Val ticks her clipboard—attendance is fair.
Each step a new tale they’re eager to share.

So here’s to the walkers of U3A fame,
Exploring the bushland, unbothered by rain.
With Pam and Val leading, they’ll never stray,
Adventurers all, come what may.
A toast to their antics and each happy day!
