On Saturday, 15th June our choir performed at the Eltham Library’s 30th anniversary celebrations. The theme was a combination of rain, sunshine and rainbow lyrics from a variety of popular numbers, with some designated as inviting audience participation. Both choir and audience enjoyed the session and the choir was presented with individual bags of chocolates. Our choir comprised Aileen Jones, Anne Byrnes, Beverly Boardman, Catherine Lazer, Chris McIntosh, Clare Dunlop, Ed Millar, Geoff Hart, Grant Strachan, Joyce Harvey (accompanist), Lindsay Byrnes (conductor), Margo Harrow and Wendy Morris.
Christopher Pizarro from the library subsequently wrote: “On behalf of Eltham Library and YPRL, I wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to you and the Nillumbik U3A Choir for the wonderful performance on Saturday. Our guests were thrilled, snapping photos and singing along during the performances. Your presence truly added a special touch to our important day. We would love to collaborate with you and the amazing group again if a suitable event or occasion arises. Please feel free to contact us with any ideas for future engagements.“
