Jim Connor on the transition from the Shire of Eltham to the Shire of Nillumbik

On 23rd October, Jim Connor provided his personal reflections on the cessation of the Shire of Eltham and the establishment of the Shire of Nillumbik, which occurred in December 1994. This was a significant change and Jim’s insights come from his role as a former Eltham councillor, then a community member of the Nillumbik Planning Special Committee and chair of the Disability Advisory Committee, under the commissioner’s administration, in the early days of Nillumbik.
