Walter Withers and his family (Jim Connor)

Jim will celebrate the artwork of Walter Withers as well as consider varied aspects of his life, and that of his family. Walter Withers was born in 1854 in Warwickshire. He left the United Kingdom in 1882 and arrived in Australia in January 1883. He initially Walter worked as a jackaroo on several properties in rural Victoria, which was the start of his adventurous life in Australia and elsewhere. He died in Eltham in October 1914.
